About Maureen

Maureen is a Brooklyn, NY based fitness professional with three years experience leading group and private classes. With over 400 hours of dedicated study across several Yoga and Pilates modalities, her teaching style mindfully weaves practical theory and alignment cues with the use of playful imagery and metaphor for an informative yet highly spirited experience for her dedicated community of students.

Maureen’s teaching methodology masterfully weaves together a wide array of low impact strength, mobility, and flexibility exercises that inform greater safety and stability within the physical and emotional body. Her life’s work is primarily informed by her study of Katonah Yoga Theory (certification to be completed Winter 2025), Hatha yoga, restorative and yin yoga, contemporary mat Pilates (think sculpt!), and myofascial release techniques.

Experienced in working with all types of bodies, Maureen’s innate ability to lead with empathy and inclusion, along with her use of intuitive modifications provides for a safe, empowering environment for her students to fully and confidently embody their practice. Students are invited to show up as their true, authentic selves as they refine their tools and techniques; come join as we dive into a deeper realm of self inquiry and evolution, and get ready to understand yourself in a whole new light.
